TEST DRIVE MEME



Are you planning on apping to afterliving? Just want to try out the premise before you hop in? Or maybe it's the former and first person samples are too much effort so you want to thread around and link to those in your app instead. Regardless of the case, there's a test drive meme for that! Which is right here, by the way. In case that wasn't already obvious. So just go ahead and tag in, tag around, and take a test drive with your characters or the environment of the game!

If you need some ideas for prompts, we have some for you! But of course, you can come up with your own as well.

1) There's a vending machine and you're trying to get something out of it. Maybe some canned Key coffee, a bottle of Bolvic Water, or a juice. When you press your selection though, it seems like the vending machine might be a little off-kilter today. After all, the drinks just keep coming and coming..

2) SUDDENLY SHADOWS! Your character is getting attacked by mysterious shadows that seem to swallow you whole! Will your character kick some butt or run screaming? Maybe they'll make a friend to come help them out? Or maybe they'll try and be the hero and save someone else! Who knows, just know that they're not going anywhere unless you do something about it.

3) Did you know this world loops? Try going through the forest. If you walk far enough, you'll just find yourself right back in the school or town. Whoops. That's weird.

4) Welcome to Guild. You've just stumbled upon a mysterious entrance in the mountains and are now subject to all kinds of booby traps. Feel free to come up with your own, or base them on any booby traps you've seen in movies, since the mountain entrance is a mystery after Guild has taken over. Good luck and try not to get dropped into a pit of snakes Indiana Jones-style!

5) WHATEVER WHATEVER I DO WHAT I WANT.

[Looking up from his homemade map of the area, so this is what they call 'a game.'

Interesting, it seems to be about the afterlife, a school of learning, how even more bazaar. Along with his map came a notebook to jot down information about the game in particular, what it was and it's theme. Each one of these games was to have a list of people who were currently trapped within them. Erwin now fishing around for just that, maybe a sign, or a bulletin board, just a list of some sort that should say TAKEN.

The school was bright and cheerful, colors so vivid much like the pains of endless grass his teams would venture upon. The sidewalk beautiful crafted by someone who surely had plenty of time for art, joining their craftsmanship was well maintained plotted trees and plants neatly organized. Most other human beings around the school wouldn't talk to Erwin, almost lifeless creatures unable to speak or sate things back not just that they lacked information.

Ah yes, this must be it, the list of taken individuals. It seems people from his own world were there though this had not been the first place he'd found them nor he assumed the last. A world filled with death surely would have it's toll of visitors, after all this was apparently the afterlife. Eye's grow an unusual wide however when they read over the names of his comrades, no--Levi and Hange? The words whisper out as he reads them, they couldn't have.. failed..

Staring blankly at the TAKEN list, his face emotionless but his heart filling with grief Erwin never thought he'd ever feel again. Had they died here? Or, had their death been ensued from his lack of attendance upon arriving in this place?

He just sort of stands there. Not like the NPC's just--standing their. His notebook in hand, not writing anything, just quiet.]

[ Of all the people she expects to be here... he isn't one of them. She reads what he's doing, knowing too well that he's realizing that they, too, are dead and gone, that they failed. She can pass of her own death with a joke, pushing sorrow aside, but his? It's a bit more difficult. ]

...Sir.

[ For once, serious. For once, apologetic. Her lips are pressed into a grim line, her posture rigid and formal. Business first. ]

Would you like me to brief you on this place?

Hange..

[Expression so lifeless, so blank, this numb feeling over coming what was left. Something he wasn't sure he could feel any longer, grief. Death was foreseeable, just not in this way. This was far worse than had it occurred from his actions--Far, far, worse. Such lack of control, their deaths surely an omen, humanities mission would continue to fail until there was nothing left. If one is to be stuck here for the rest of eternity than may it be a suitable torture, one that surely outweighs the trails of living.

Failure was not an option.]

[ She's been shown to be casual with him, calling him by his first name, even; that will be for a different time. Now, the tone is formal and clear. And here she tells him.... basically, everything. As much as she knows, and about what she's gathered of this place so far. Thankfully a meta-analysis of much information can be gathered from what's available and preserved on the network. She speaks of the school, of the NPCs, of the shadows...

There may be a sprinkling of her excited curiosity on the subject of the afterlife, NPC, and shadows, but she keeps her voice reserved despite how interesting it is to her.

After her oral report, she clears her throat. ] There's also one other thing you need to know of those who've died and come here. It's a rather curious phenomenon. ]

[From the sound of things this place had it's fair share of terror and war. The elimination of shadows? A sort of copping distraction from his fate, the question to be asked is if such should be so graciously given to a failure? Erwin just crosses his arms behind his back, taking in everything he's learned.]

Oh?

[Now was not the time to ask of her death...]

[ Unlike with others, she won't exactly beat around the bush with Erwin. At least this time, with a matter so serious. She tells him straight: ] I don't know if you've spoken with Levi yet, but he claims to have died during the 57th expedition by the Female-Type Titan.

Now. Isn't that interesting? [ She speaks of a fellow comrade's death distantly, objectively in the sense that she's musing of it. It may seem rude, but at the same time it's telling of the way she's coping with their demise. ]

[Well, isn't this interesting..] He didn't however, perhaps he's suffering with false memories? A manifestation created by his mind to shield himself from his actual death? Surely such an event has potential to be traumatizing. [That seems so unlike him.. Levi was not the type. Erwin, though, couldn't believe those calms.] On the contrary it is hard to find Levi producing falsehoods for himself. Hange, on my request could I know of your death?

[As far Erwin knew, Hange Zoe was alive. The same goes for his Lance Corporal.]

I've considered that. After all, as I've mentioned those shadow manifestations often work with manipulating memory or erasing them. Regardless if that's true or not, I imagine there would be a large discrepancy between many memories. I'll make a note of it to gather testimony from everyone of our world here.

[ For a moment she steels herself, but then she relaxes into a smile. ] Would you believe me if I said I don't remember my own death?

I'd be slightly relived. [A rare smile to match. The last thing he wanted people of such skill is to remember how viciously they must of died.] What was the endmost thing you remember? I'm currently on a mission, you see. However, I feel I should ask for your knowledge of events resonantly before stating much.

If I were to settle here, is their a base of operation outside the school? Also, you mentioned others from our world?

Mm... Currently the last thing I remember is you going beyond the wall to retrieve Eren. [ A hand goes to her chin thoughtfully. ] I was injured by the Colossal Titan just before then, and pointed you towards where I believed Eren's abductors to be. Yet--... I don't believe that those injuries were lethal. [ A pause. ] My death just have happened afterwards at some point, although I'm unsure.

Mm.... There is not much outside the school. The land goes on, yes, but it loops around. As for others, Cadets Jean Kirschtein and Marco Bodt are here, as well as Levi, and... Ymir and Bertholdt Fubar.

It seems you know as much as I do of our current objective. [That was rest assured.. Erwin wasn't ready to be face to face with the titan-obsessed scientist that learns just who the Colossal Titan is for the very first time.] Or once objective.

So it is safe to say the Colossal Titan is dead? What of the Armored Titan? No word it seems. They are no use to anyone dead, that information will be lost.

[ Well, from that point in time when she pointed it out where to find the two Titans carrying Eren away, she does indeed know who they are. She inclines her head slightly. ] No, as far as I know, they're still alive. So... Well, seeing Bertholdt here is a bit confusing on that point. What's the last thing you remember while out on your mission?

The last thing I remember was herding a large group of titans towards the Armored Titan. They would surely attack him, not only was Mr. Fubar and Eren both traveling on him in human forums but so was plenty of my cadets along with Ymir. My objective was to stop him from proceeding.

[Could something have happened to Erwin during this mission? His mun thinks she'll wait another few days for a certain something to update till she decides on a cause of death.]
